JOB FUNCTIONS:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. To handle problems that occur on shift and to correct said problem with a minimum amount of production downtime. NOTE: any item, which must be ?Jury Rigged?, must be communicated to department Supervisor and/or corrected with a permanent repair at lunchtime, or between shifts.

MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. To detect developing problems through the downtime, quality control report, pm?s, visual observation, and/or operators input. NOTE: Communication of daily breakdowns, assigned work activities, pm?s, and other communications received from operators must be recorded through a common logbook (maintenance computer log), or verbally to Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Coordinator. The logbook sheet must be fully completed with all blocks filled in (who, when, & how long). Communicating to off shift millwrights what transpired on their shift, and what was done for repairs, along with noting any items that need additional attention. Work Orders must be filled out with all of the information required (name, date, machine number, machine name, problem description, and parts required for completing the repair along with part numbers.

2. To work as directed to perform and complete requested repairs or projects of the shift supervisor, and work orders. These projects will not require excessive material or time unless approved by Production Superintendent and/or Maintenance Supervisor or Superintendent.

3. When not working on breakdowns, shop work, and/or work orders, will inspect mill on assigned preventive maintenance basis.

4. To call Production Supervisor for assistance when needed to reduce the amount of time lost on a breakdown

5. To adopt the philosophy that no job is complete until clean up is done. The weekend Bull Gang will roll up & clean up on their last scheduled down day (Sunday). This includes the maintenance shop, which will be cleaned daily.

6. Will make daily checks of known problems and will communicate their observations by way of verbal and/or log book, or both.

7. All Millwrights will carry and monitor radio while on shift. (This includes down day)

Experience/Skills Required: EXPERIENCE OR TRAINING REQUIRED:
Mechanically inclined.
3 years Millwright Experience.
Must be able to cut and weld to the standards set by the company.
Must know how to perform all maintenance projects.
Must know how to read and use calipers and tape measurers.
Must know how to use and supply own hand and power tools.
Must know all Hydraulic and pneumatics systems and be able to trouble shoot and repair.
Must be able to read and understand blue prints.
