JOB SUMMARY:

To maintain, dismantle, and install machinery and mechanical service equipment, including ventilating and heating systems, and building repairs. At times overtime may be required. Must be willing to travel to Ronco customer facilities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Performs varied mechanical duties such as dismantling, moving, repairing and installing power shafting, pulleys, hoists, conveyors and other facility equipment. Starts up and shuts down equipment in line with company safety procedures for equipment under OSHA requirements.
2. Working with concrete and cement may set up machine foundations, and install power drives in correct position and aligning power shafts and pulleys.
3. Installs and or changes the layout of machines and mechanical equipment in a facility. Uses blueprints, company ?Facility Layout? handbook, conforming to local building codes and safe operating practices.
4. Where required, erects scaffolding and disassembles upon completion of the job.
5. Depending upon the size of the facility, if no carpenter or painter is employed, carries out these trade functions. Makes crates to ship dismantled equipment.
6. Uses hoists, forklift truck, rollers or trolleys to move machinery. Frequently works with electrician or pipefitter to complete dismantling or installation jobs.
7. Where machine guards are not commercially available, makes or repairs machine guards and installs on machinery. Checks guards to assure that they have enclosed equipment properly.
8. Notifies supervisor of potentially dangerous piping systems and corrective action taken or documented.
9. High degree of attention required to prevent injury to self and others.
10. Performs heavy maintenance work involving climbing, rigging, and exposure to high pressure steam and cold.
11. Valid state motor vehicle license to operate plant forklift truck to move machinery.
12. Travel to Ronco customer facilities.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBLITIES:

? Updates local ?Facility Layout? manual after machine location changes. Will perform welding jobs.
