Not familiar with Delta? Delta, BC packs a punch when it comes to pioneer history, natural assets of beaches, parks and farmlands. Comprising three very different communities: North Delta, Tsawwassen and Ladner, Deltas diverse attributes are now becoming great attractions. The gentle landscapes give way to seven golf courses. There are many dykes that provide easy walking, cycling and equestrian trails. Then there are the beaches where water sports, from skimboarding to kayaking are popular pursuits.

Salary: $39.55-$43.65 per hour, plus shift premiums. Unionized.

Shifts: 3 pm -12:30 am or 9 pm 6:30 am, 4 day work week and holiday relief (various). Must be available to work various shifts.

Education: Red Seal Certified or BC Provincial Millwright ticket is an asset. Equivalent experience to challenge the Red Seal exam or more, preference given for Red Seal certification.

Experience:
At least 3 years of experience as a full-time maintenance mechanic in a fast-paced manufacturing plant environment.
Must have working knowledge and experience with conveyors, valves, and ability to read blueprints.
Fabrication experience with the ability to TIG weld is an asset.
Experience in HACCP is an asset.

Skills and Abilities:
Working Knowledge of HMI as they relate to processing, filling equipment in a food manufacturing environment.
Must have a strong background in electrical diagnostics and repair.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Must be highly organized, be able to multi-task and have a great attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to handle moderate lifting.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Repair and maintenance of filling equipment, pumps, conveyors and PLE equipment in a fast-paced food and beverage manufacturing plant.
Machining parts for overhaul and repair of equipment.
Installation of new equipment and other duties related to plant and equipment maintenance.
Other duties as required.
